But she was powerless to watch as corruption consumed him, and now seeks to undo what she see's as her greatest mistake, and hopes for the seemingly impossible, to yank her friend back from the abyss of corruption. However, everyone has their own demons.

Bio: Embittered by the slaughter of his parents and the turning of his sister and himself, Ayden developed a desire for only one thing, revenge. When he managed to kill his sire, he was left without a purpose, and considered himself too bloodstained and monsterous to return to any sort of side that might consider saving life instead of taking it. With no outlet to his seemingly unmasterable bloodlust, he joined Arvalan's armies in hopes of satisfying his thirst for death, for his sanity, and his sister's safety.

Bio: He barely remembers his mother. He was young when she sent him away, too young to understand why, only that the one person who seemed to love wanted him gone. Later he came to understand that it was for his own good. Staying in the castle with his sire would have destroyed him. Maarick is grateful to the woman for seeing what he could not, but there wasn't a day that passed in his stay with the druids that found him that he didn't miss her and wonder what happened to her when his sire found out she had robbed him of a son. One cannot stay in the Nemtons forever, but even if the druids hadn't politely encouraged him to make his own way in the world, he would have left eventually. There was only so much they could teach him and he was the vessel of the spirit of the wind. That made it kind of hard to stay in any one place for long.
weapons: A green scythe given to him by his adoptive father, used as a catalyst to control the wind. Condenses it to make an invisible blade which still cuts its victims even if it does not make contact.

Bio: Although Raizu is not from the city, let alone the country, she had hailed from an elven village far from within the west forests. She had wanted to experience the world and chose a random direction to go. Unfortunately, it was eastward...Raizu had ended up in the city, and was as naive as a child exploring a candy shop, however she eventually adapted into the city life and soon became resident.

Bio: He was not by any means always the crazed monarch that he now is. He was once a faithful servant of the previous king, and followed him blindly.
Until he discovered that their good and kind king was not quite so good and kind as the people were lead to believe. Horror-struck to discover that the man he had devoted himself to was directing several different strings of cruel experiments on the people who were too poor to be noticed if they vanished, Arvalan gathered a small band of people, similar to the Silver Order, to rise against him.
He had no intention to rule at first.
But no one else would take the role.
And power has a tendancy to twist and corrupt...

Weapons: She uses a wide array of weapons, but prefers her staff, as it is a channel for the power of the dragon inside her.
Powers: Soul enslavement and a symbiotic fire mastery.
Bio: Born into a family of mercenaries, she was trained to continue the family business from the time she could walk without aide. Her physical skills were honed, and particular attention was given to her ability to see, touch, and manipulate the souls of both living and dead, and those between. The harsh training stamped out all natural childish tendencies, leaving her distant and cold behind a mask of sarcastic cheer.
In her 26th year, she was sent alone to take a job in a distant city, the name of which she no longer remembers. While she was away, her village was raided by the dragon Balthazaar, who had slept until then within the surrounding mountains. None survived.
When she returned, Jarai hunted down the beast and bound his soul to hers to ensure that he would bear a punishment worse than death. Over the years, their two beings have become more and more closely tied, until it is difficult to tell the two apart. The union has granted her unusually long life and a mastery of fire.
The vast majority of her extended life was spent continuing the family business, moving from city to city, shedding blood to make her living. But she was never satisfied, whether the work did not challenge her enough or the pay did not appease her.
Then she fell into Arvalan's employ. She now serves him with a ruthless devotion that could very well hint at something more. So rarely does anyone survive an encounter with her that she has become an urban legend of sorts, existing as far as anyone else knows only in rumor. She is her master's greatest asset beyond his own considerable strength, and his best kept secret.

Powers: Ability to create spacial holes that connect to one another, allowing objects to pass through. He is also able to completely split himself into two entirely separate people.
Bio: Acinor belongs to a nearly forgotten clan of mages called the Gemini with the odd trait of having dual personalities. He inherited his Gemini blood and his magical ability from his mother, an entertainer in the king's court. His father was a career military officer who expected that his son continue the tradition and uphold the kingdom's ideals. He was trained in combat from a young age, and spent very little time with his mother. When the coup came, both his parents were killed and Acinor was left to fend for himself in th new order. As he grew, his two personalities became more and more at odds in his own head, all the while he kept his battle skills sharp, as well as investigating his magical abilities.

Bio: Shenen represents impulse, emotion, and vigor in Acinor. He does things on his own terms and in general seeks to amuse himself.

Bio: He likes to think he's a very charismatic wanderer, but his love for drink makes him less than appreciated by most people he happens upon. His tendency to grate against the tempers of others without realizing it left hi spending most of his life isolated in the small village based on tribe and strength where he spent most of his life. He tried to prove himself as a soldier, but decided he wasn't cut out for it. The only reason he fights now is the destruction of the forest in which his village was built.
weapons: usually armed to the teeth, but prefers two light flails, each modestly enchanted to explode on command. also has a longsword, five daggers hidden variously around the body and a greatbow on him at almost all times. Is very good at using improvised weapons. very good at knocking people unconscious.
powers: very dexterous and has picked up many tricks over the years. ( minor levitation, illusion, small magicky projectiles etc.) due to long years of training, can wield a humongous variety of weapons and lots of magic other than the aforementioned minor tricks. Bio: She buried the circumstances of her outcasting deep inside herself, as the loss of her wings is a wound that she has yet to recover from, although she has perhaps resigned herself to them. She roams the Earth in search of a way to redeem herself, while constantly fighting the part of her that drives her to further sin. She has studied for eons in libraries unknown to the mere mortal, and her knowledge of the world is extensive, from herblore to legends and magical arts.

Bio: Dadrik was raised by a single parent in a stone house high in the mountains. His mother never told him exactly who she was hiding away from, but when he was older he had his guesses. Something to do with the fact his mother never wore a wedding band, or ever mentioned his father. When he'd asked, she'd gone as white as a sheet and wouldn't say anything. Impressive, considering his mother did not seem to be afraid of very much. So he grew up in that cold house, independent and largely alone. But sometimes at night, he'd hear the voice of another boy, happier but also alone, who seemed so familiar it almost ached. Finally his mother admitted yes, he had a half brother by another woman. No, she didn't know where he was or what had become of him. When he gained his wings, finding him became something like an obsession. When his mother gave him permission to leave the house, that's all he could do, homing in on a presence he only felt in his mind. But it was like chasing the wind, every time he got close, his brother had moved on again. Still, it was not totally useless. He got pieces of information. A name. After so long of searching, in this city he has finally found him. Maarick.

Bio: Sevarial wasn't actually born. She simply came into existence, fully developed, in the void between life and death, the unwitting result of one of the old king's experiments. It was chance that drew her toward the afterlife first, and she has a well-established position of unofficial authority there. For the most part, she is content to help the newcomers adjust to the fact that they are no longer living, but there are times when she becomes very, very bored. It is then that she will cross over to the world of the living, for short periods of time. Still, there is even less to interest her there, and she always returns in far less time than it took to inspire the leaving.

Bio: There was a time when she was very good friends with Arvalan, Aeliana, and Ayden. The four of them were rarely seen out of each other's company, and just as Arvalan and Aeliana came to be more than just friends, it seemed that her relationship with Ayden would go that direction as well. This was, however, before the siblings were turned, and after that change, things were never quite the same with them again. That didn't stop her from helping when Arvalan got the old crew together to overthrow their king. As far as anyone else knows, she skipped town once it became clear that the elf had changed.
In truth, though, Arvalan locked her away after reading his predecessor's notes, and took up the experimentation that had driven him to act in the first place. She was supposed to come out as the perfect soldier, with no price to pay beyond some pain. And to a certain extent, it worked.
But there was a consequence. Yes, she has lived far longer than any human had any right to. Yes, she now has a nearly perfect ability for infiltration. But her body is unstable now. There are times, now and again, when she literally falls apart without provocation, and pulling herself back together is a painful and exhausting process. She's quite certain that one of these days, she won't be able to, and she'll die.
So she's making the most of the time she has left. After escaping Arvalan's clutches, she left town, leaving her inhibitions behind her. It sucks that she hasn't got much time left, yes. But she's already been around way longer than she ought to have been. It would take someone extremely petty to want more.

Bio: Marlin was never supposed to leave her hometown, a small island nation about two week's journey south of the mainland. Her family was well-off, with just enough money to live comfortably. A rare gift for healing ran in her mother's line, coupling with their general good nature to make them an extremely well liked family. Marlin showed a particular knack for healing from a very young age, and spent the bulk of her adolescence training, perfecting her gift to better serve her people. She had no thoughts of a different future.
And then strangers began visiting the island, brining with them strange languages and strange drinks and stranger customs. The Aquarians were eager to help and learn from each wave of ships that came through. When she was nineteen, Marlin became perhaps a little too eager. The captain of one of the ships, a tall man with striking blue eyes set against rich cream-and-coffee skin took a particular interest in her, and she in him. When his ship left a month later, she went with him, and they were married at sea.
They were happy together for five years. They settled down, had a baby girl, and then something changed inside him. He became possessed by a violent greed, pushing him to turn on all of their friends. Good honest sailors were turned in as pirates for a bounty, their homes sold for profit. But not even that was enough.
By the time Marlin found out that he had sold their daughter into slavery in the dead of the night, the caravan had moved on. She left him, and has been looking for her daughter ever since.

Biography:
Once upon a time, he was happy. He was rising in rank through the aerie, his clan was thriving and his courtship of a certain young woman was going very well. They were famous for their skills as couriers and as warriors. They were trusted with the secrets of nobles and kings. And perhaps that was his undoing. He was able to hold the bird-shape shift for longer than most, which made him one of the fastest and the strongest flyers, and very popular. He never read any of the messages of course but some men are always suspicious. A nobleman planning to betray his lord used Kameron as a messenger to one of his allies. He delivered it, of course, but what happened then he didn't expect. The man read the message. Next thing he knew, he woke up in a caravan with his wings clipped, his hands chained and a heavy metal collar around his neck. He was connected to several others in a slave caravan bound for a strange city. Kameron could've tried to escape before, but none of the opportunities were quite right. They keep them partially starved and drugged to keep them controllable, but he is patient. He watches the guards, knows which ones are watchful and which ones are somewhat careless. Which ones could be bribed and which ones he would like to kill at the first opportunity. Soon he will be able to shift, soon, he will have his opportunity to escape. And may the Wind Goddess help those who tried to enslave him.
